  • Florenz Group

    Van Schaik Health and Safety Solutions partnered with Florenz Group to deliver a new approach to Group health and safety management including development of Group H&S foundations, systems, roles and responsibilities, expectations and collaboration and communication across Florenz Group operations in New Zealand to enable health and safety maturity and improved long term sustainable performance.

  • Napier Port Critical Control Management (CCM) Program

    Napier Port identified the need to implement a more robust approach to managing its critical risks in 2018.

    Over the last four years the van Schaik Health and Safety Solutions Team have partnered with Napier Port to deliver the Port’s Critical Control Management Program which has resulted in significant safety improvements across the port’s operations.

  • Health & Safety Generalist Career Pathway

    In May 2022 HASANZ and the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety, the Honourable Michael Wood launched the Health and Safety Career Pathway Framework at Parliament.

    On behalf of HASANZ, NZISM, NZSC and the GHSL, Van Schaik Health and Safety Solutions led and delivered the project to create new resources to support New Zealanders to take a ‘second look’ at health and safety.

  • ACC Workplace Injury Prevention Subsidies

    HASANZ and ACC collaborated to develop videos promoting ACC subsidies available to NZ businesses in the manufacturing or residential construction sectors, to subsidise health and safety advice from HASANZ registered professionals.

    Van Schaik Health and Safety Solutions partnered with Key Commercial Interiors to provide ‘peace of mind’ by providing health and safety support and services.

  • Napier Port

    Napier Port partnered with Van Schaik Health & Safety Solutions to peer review current practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement, to define the boundaries between vessel and port hazardous substances requirements, to develop a site-wide hazardous substances management plan that would continually evaluate best practice ensuring ongoing achievement of regulatory compliance, to provide operational advice and guidance for implementing an evolving hazardous substances management plan and project management support to assist with achieving the Port’s compliance outcomes.

  • Goodnature - Work-Related Health Case Study (WorkSafe New Zealand)

    Goodnature identified noise as a work-related health risk in their production line and partnered with Van Schaik Health and Safety Solutions to assess and manage this work-related health issue.

  • Master Joiners "Health & Safety Resource"

    In 2021 a pilot project was launched with the aim to build an understanding of awareness, challenges and opportunities regarding health and safety in small manufacturing businesses in the joinery sector.

    The project “Increasing the health and safety performance for Small and Medium Enterprises SMEs” was a collaboration between HASANZ registered health & safety professionals, manufacturing industry representatives, ACC, and HASANZ. The project developed a Guide for businesses, and highlights the benefit of engaging with a HASANZ registered professional to ensure health and safety compliance is met, and injuries / illnesses from completing work in this sector are minimised. Our Managing Director worked with HASANZ on this project as a Health and Safety Generalist.
